Jérémie Schütz studied opera singing at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne, under the tutelage of Hiroko Kawamichi, and then at the prestigious Accademia Teatro Scala. In 2014, he won the “Prix de la Mélodie” and the “Prix Jeune Talent” at the International Competition of Autumn Symphonies in Mâcon. He is also the winner of several Young Singers Scholarships, such as the “Migros Cultural Percentage”, “Colette Mosetti Grant” and the “Weltner Stiftung”. Jérémie Schütz is mainly dedicated to the operatic repertoire. He made his debut in 2015 at the Grand-Théâtre de Genève in the role of Rodolphe in Rossini's Guillaume Tell. He also sings there Hélénus in Les Troyens (Berlioz).

In the past seasons, he has been Major Raflafla, in Mesdames de la Halle (Offenbach) at the Opéra National de Lyon, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini) at the Opéra National de Lorraine. Pedrillo in Il Ratto dal Serraglio per i bambini (Mozart) in La Scala, as well as Giuseppe in La Traviata (Verdi), alongside Anna Netrebko and Leo Nucci, or Lehrbube in Die Meisetersinger von Nürnberg (Wagner).

Recently, he performed the role of Don José in Carmen (Bizet) at the Opéra National de Bordeaux, Jacopo Foscari in I due Foscari (Verdi) at the St-Moritz Opera and he was the cover of the role of Hoffmann in Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach) at the Opéra National de Bordeaux. In addition, Jérémie Schütz is interested in contemporary creations. He thus plays several roles, including that of the Cheetah in Les Zoocrates (Thierry Besançon) at the Opéra de Lausanne, or the Bauer in Le Voyage vers l'Espoir (Christian Jost) at the Grand-Théâtre de Genève. He also recorded an album of contemporary melodies alongside Marina Viotti, Anaïs Constant and Mathieu Gardon. Jérémie Schütz is also interested in the sacred repertoire. He performs among other things the tenor solo parts in Rossini's La Petite Messe Solennelle, Mozart's Requiem, Puccini's Messa di Gloria, Mendelssohn's Paulus, or Ramirez's Missa Criolla and Navidad Nuestra.

He has sung under the baton of prestigious conductors, such as Marc Minkowski, Jesús López Cobos, Charles Dutoit, Michael Balke, Nello Santi, Daniele Gatti, and many others.
